What is Podiatry Interview Study?

A practice tool for podiatric medicine and surgery residency interviews. You spin a case, use a prep timer, then present it step by step in the standard interview order, and rate yourself so you can revisit the cases that need work.

What is the standard podiatry interview case format?

Chief complaint, history of present illness, past medical history, past surgical history, social and family history, physical exam, imaging and labs, assessment, plan, and discussion questions. Every case on the site follows these ten steps.

What topics do the cases cover?

Trauma, reconstructive surgery, infection and wound care, diabetic limb and Charcot, sports medicine, pediatrics, arthritides and dermatology, neurology, vascular, oncology, and medicine and peri-operative care, split into forefoot/midfoot and rearfoot/ankle.

Is my progress saved?

Yes, in your own browser on your own device. Nothing is sent to a server. You can export a backup file from Settings and import it on another device.

Does this site cover board exams like the APMLE and the residency ITEs?

The case trainer on this page is built for residency interview case presentations. Board-exam study is covered by the Podki Anki flashcard decks, a family of decks for the APMLE and the ABFAS and ABPM in-training exams, which are coming soon to this site.

What is Podki?

Podki is a family of Anki flashcard decks for podiatry board exams, including the ABFAS and ABPM in-training exams (ITEs) and APMLE Part II and III. The decks share one style guide, note types, topic list and tagging system, with a citation on each card. Download links are coming soon.
